La Distillerie de l'Arbre Sec unveils its new liqueur

02.06.2025

The Parisian spirits family is growing. The Distillerie de l'Arbre Sec, nestled in the heart of the 1st arrondissement of Paris, is launching a new creation: a Mandarine & Citron liqueur, a vibrant tribute to the transalpine tradition of limoncello. Affectionately nicknamed the Mandariniello, this artisanal liqueur celebrates fruit, the sun and elegance.

Imagined as a nod to recipes from southern Europe, the liqueur is based on a careful blend of French mandarins — Mandarine de Menton, Shiva and Murcott — known for their natural sweetness and aromatic richness. The zests are combined with those of cedar and bergamot for a subtly acidic composition, macerated slowly in wheat alcohol before distillation.

The result: a spirit that is at once fruity, fresh and slightly bitter, balanced by controlled sweetness (100 g/L), with a persistent finish with zesty notes. “The objective was to create a gourmet liqueur that was as good as a digestive liqueur as in a cocktail or in cooking,” confides the distillery team.

A chameleon liqueur: digestive, dessert or spritz

With its 34% volume, Mandarine & Citron can be served well iced, but is also suitable for gourmet and inventive variations: on a citrus sorbet, topped with dark chocolate fondant, or topped with tonic or prosecco for a revisited Mediterranean spritz.

Already available at the distillery store and on the website of the distilleriedelarbresec.com, this novelty is part of the artisanal and sensory approach that forms the identity of the place: sincere, demanding spirits, designed for pleasure.
